Epping is one of the largest and oldest rugby clubs in the Eastwood District with over 250 junior players (boys and girls) registered. Epping Juniors also forms part of the Epping Rugby and Netball Club which boasts an additional 5 Senior grades, Golden Oldies and 5 Womens Netball teams – a total of over 450 playing members.

Many Epping juniors have gone on to achieve great success in the rugby world. Some have become Wallabies including Ian Williams, Mick Mathers, Brett Papworth, Matt Mostyn, Steve Tuynman (the Club Patron), Matt Burke and Lachlan Turner. Wallaby fullback Marty Roebuck was one of the Epping coaching staff, coaching our Under 8s.

Epping Rugby Under 6s to Under 9s teams (Minis) play in the local Eastwood District Minis competition. The Under 10s to Under 17s (Juniors) play in the Sydney Junior Rugby Union competition. Our home ground is Somerville Park, Blaxland Road, Eastwood.

The club has a very active social committee and provides many functions for both children and parents. Junior members enjoy activities such as trips away, Super 14s games, Easter egg hunts, rock climbing, movies, B.B.Qs etc. The adults are also well catered for with many other social activities.
